Versus: the same snowflake, three minutes, two players

Pick a name and go. Room for a friend gives you a 5-letter code and a link to send; the race starts the moment they join. Play a stranger looks for someone else who's waiting, and if nobody turns up within ten seconds you race Frostbot, our computer player (it's always labelled, it never pretends to be a person).

Both of you get the same 7 letters. Every word is checked live and you see each other's score climb, but not the words themselves until time runs out. Then everything is revealed: who found the pangram, who went long, who spammed 4-letter words. Rematch is one tap.

Scoring in Versus

Unlike the daily puzzle, long words are worth a lot more here: a 4-letter word is 1 point, 5 letters is 3, 6 is 6, 7 is 10, 8 is 15, and a pangram adds 10 on top. Three quick 4-letter words won't beat one 6-letter word, so it pays to think.

No account, no chat, nothing to install. Prefer a calmer game? Today's daily puzzle is the same for everyone, and Unlimited is just you and the dictionary.
